Glossary

The words Brainess uses.

Twelve terms, each in a sentence or two, as the lessons use them.

Workspace
Your company’s own space in Brainess: its records, members, connected inboxes and ideal customer profile. You create it once, at sign-up, and invite teammates from Members.
ICP (Ideal Customer Profile)
A description of who you sell to: industries, company size, the roles that buy, and the regions. Brainess drafts it from your website at sign-up; you can edit every field under Profile.
Account
A company you sell to, with website, size, headquarters and the signals Brainess found. Brainess creates accounts for you when you ask the chat to find companies that match your ICP (Ideal Customer Profile).
Lead
A person you are reaching out to. Leads arrive from Find Leads on an account, or by hand, and come with email, role, LinkedIn and photo once enriched.
Contact
A person attached to an account or a deal, as opposed to a lead you are still reaching out to. Contacts are the people you qualify a deal with.
Opportunity
A deal in your pipeline, shown as a table or a board by stage. Each one has a roadmap, contacts and a MEDDPICC qualification tab.
Stage
Where a deal stands, from first conversation to closed won or closed lost. Moving the card on the board changes the stage, and deals with no update in two weeks show as at risk on the dashboard.
Signals
What Brainess found about an account while researching it: funding, hiring and expansion. The Insights tab reads them together and explains why the account fits now.
Enrichment
Brainess filling in a record from the web: email, role, LinkedIn and photo for a person, size and signals for a company. It happens on its own for records Brainess creates, and on demand with Find Information for anything made by hand.
Skill
Something Brainess can do for you, such as finding accounts, enriching a lead, drafting an email or grading a deal. Skills & Integrations lists them and holds the Gmail and Outlook connections they use.
MEDDPICC
A qualification method with eight pillars: Metrics, Economic buyer, Decision criteria, Decision process, Paper process, Identify pain, Champion and Competition. Brainess grades every deal against them out of 10 and names the gaps.
Chat
The conversation with Brainess, open from the right edge on any page. Ask in plain words; the answer links to the records it mentions and suggests the next step as a chip you can click.
